POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State women's basketball team lost at first-place Montana 61-49 on Saturday afternoon at Dahlberg Arena in Missoula, Montana.
Kaela Oakes led the Bengals in scoring with 22 points and 
Cydney Horton had a double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.
Idaho State shot 32.9 percent for the game (19-58) and 4-17 from the 3-point line. Montana was 42.6 from the field and 43.8 percent the 3-point line. Idaho State did out rebound Montana 42-33. The Bengals were forced into 18 turnovers while only forcing 12 Montana turnovers.
“The story for this game was poor shooting, too many turnovers and Kenzie De Boer having a great game,” Idaho State coach 
Seton Sobolewski said. “I am proud of our effort, especially late in the game.”
De Boer led Montana with 24 points on 9-16 shooting.
Idaho State was in the game early in the first half. ISU led briefly at 4-0 three minutes into the game and the score was tied at nine with 13:45 to play in the first half. Later in the half, 
Abyee Maracigan hit a 3-pointer to cut the Lady Griz lead to 21-19 with 4:40 left until halftime. Montana then closed out the first half on a 7-0 run to lead 28-19 at the break.
Montana scored the first five points of the second-half to extend its lead to 33-19 and the Bengals were held scoreless for eight minutes and fell behind by as many as 21 points before making a late run to cut the deficit to 12 at the end of the game.
Idaho State hosts Weber State on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym. It is Whiteout Weber. Any fan that wears white to the game will get a $2 ticket to the game.
