ABOUT IDAHO STATE
The Bengals look to rebound after five straight losses including the first home defeats since early 2011. The streak also includes losses to Hawai'i and Florida Gulf Coast at the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Soccer Classic last week in Honolulu.
The Bengal defense has struggled against the top-notched competition including the highly ranked Texas Tech squad which was the first loss of the five-match streak.
The match with Wyoming will be the final non-conference match before starting Big Sky Play against Eastern Washington next Thursday.
LAST MATCH: FLORIDA GULF COAST
Hawai'i native
Ka'imi Morreira scored the lone goal for Idaho State in 5-1 loss to Florida Gulf Coast in their final match of the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Soccer Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The Eagles held just a 1-0 advantage at the half off of a Penalty Kick from Tabitha Tindell in the 14th minute.
The Bengals hopes were dashed early in the second half when Tindell scored three goals within 10 minutes to blow the match open.
Morreria's goal came in the 89th minute and kept the Bengals from being shutout.
RENEWED RIVALRY
The Bengals will play their sixth match against Wyoming but the first since 2009. The Cowgirls hold the overall series lead over Idaho State (1-3-1) but Idaho State won the last match 2-1. The 2008 match was a 1-1 tie.
The Cowgirls started their program in 1995 and playing the Louis S. Mardrid Sports Complex.
ABOUT WYOMING
The Cowboys bring a 3-4-1 record into Sunday's match against the Bengals including a season-opening win over TCU in the Montana Kickoff Tournament.
The Cowgirls are undefeated on the road (3-0-1) but have yet to win in four matches played in Laramie.
2013 Wyoming Cowgirl soccer campaign marks head coach Pete Cuadrado's second season leading the program. In 2012 the Cowgirls tallied an 8-8-2 record in 2012 featuring a team which broke the all-time program record for goals in a single season with 30.
