Bengals Fall to Grand Canyon

Las Vegas – The Idaho State women's tennis team fell 6-1 to Grand Canyon University in Las Vegas on Sunday.

The Lopes swept the doubles point and won five-of-six singles matches to earn the win.

Madelyn Weltzin won the lone point for Idaho State with a 6-2, 6-7(4-7), 1-0 (10-0) win over Frederique Van de Velde at No. 4.

The Bengals fall to 2-9 on the season.

Idaho State plays Seattle University Tuesday. The Bengals defeated SU 4-3 in Pocatello earlier this season.
