Live VideoPOCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State soccer team heads to Laramie, Wyo. Friday afternoon for its final nonconference matchup of the 2015 season. The Bengals are set to take on the Cowgirls of Wyoming Friday, Sept. 18 at 4 p.m. at the Madrid Sports Complex.
This will be the Bengals third-straight road match and their sixth of the season. This is the highest number of nonconference road contests for ISU since the 2012 season.
ABOUT WYOMINGThe Cowgirls are 3-1-3 overall this season, and have faced two other Big Sky opponents in Montana and Northern Colorado, tying UM 0-0 in 2OT and losing to Northern Colorado 3-1.
Wyoming returns 15 letter winners and eight starters from last season's squad that finished second in the Mountain West with an 8-3-0 conference record and an 11-9-1 overall record. Sophomore forward Kaitlyn Lomsnes returns for the Cowgirls; Lomsnes was named the Mountain West freshman of the year, offensive player of the year and first team all-Mountain West.
Currently, Wyoming is averaging 1.29 goals per game with a .500 shots on goal percentage. The Cowgirls average 15.1 shots per game with a .085 shot percentage.
Wyoming is coached by the 2014 Mountain West Coach of the Year Pete Cuadrado. Cuadrado enters his fourth season with the Cowgirls carries a 18-20-6 record in Laramie.
LAST MATCH: BENGALS FALL AT UTAH STATE FOLLOWING SECOND-HALF AGGIE COMEBACKThe Idaho State soccer team scored a season-high three goals Sunday afternoon against a tough Utah State squad in Logan, Utah, but the Bengals were unable to combat four second-half Aggie goals and fell 5-3.

Maria Sanchez led the Bengals with two goals and one assist for her best statistical performance since scoring two goals and tallying one assist against Minot State in her collegiate debut Aug. 22, 2014.
Idaho State (1-6-1) started the match strong, firing off six straight shots in the first seven minutes before Utah State (4-3-1) was able to tally its first shot. The Bengals aggression paid off in the 14th minute as Sanchez found freshman forward
Esmeralda Nunez for her first goal of the season.
The Bengals next score came less than seven minutes later as Sanchez found an opening and connected from 15 yards in the 21st minute for the unassisted goal to put ISU up 2-0.
The Bengals prevented the Aggies from getting a shot off over the next 12 minutes, but in the 33rd minute USU's Jayne Robinson found Bailee Hammond who knocked in the Aggies first goal from 18 yards out to cut ISU's lead to one, 2-1.
The second half featured a furious Utah State comeback as the Aggies outshot the Bengals 14-9, including eight shots on goal. Utah State scored in the 59th, 66th, 72nd and 86th minutes to overtake the Bengals and secure the win, 5-3.
