Game 4 Preview: Idaho State at UNLV

POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State returns to the field on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. mountain time for its final nonconference matchup at UNLV. About UNLV
UNLV is 0-3 with two of the losses being on the road at Northern Illinois (38-30), and at Michigan (28-7). UNLV's only home game was a 37-3 defeat to No. 13 UCLA. UNLV has tallied 965 yards of total offense with 528 through the air and 437 on the ground. Quarterback Blake Decker is 31-61-3 with three touchdown passes and 467 passing yards. Peni Vea is the top tackler with 25.

Series vs. UNLV
UNLV leads the series 5-2. The last meeting between the two schools resulted in a 54-10 UNLV win on Sept. 2, 2006. ISU's twp wins was a 15-7 victory in Holt Arena on Sept. 20, 1975 and a 64-34 victory on Sept. 26, 1970. The 1970 contest was the first-game played in Holt Arena.
 
Bengals Against FBS Opponents
Idaho State is 0-23 against FBS schools since beating Utah State 27-24 at USU in 2000. Since 2008,
the FBS opponents Idaho State has faced are; Air Force, Nebraska, BYU, Washington State, Utah
State, Georgia, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Boise State, Washington, Utah and Idaho. ISU plays Boise State and UNLV this year.

Notes From Boise State Game
- Game captains were Tyler Wright, Madison Mangum, Chris Edwards and Tyler Graves.
- Five of Idaho State's eight first downs in the first half came on the final first half drive.
- Xavier Finney is now third all-time for rushing attempts with 582.  Merril Hoge ranks second with 591 rushing attempts.
- Attendance was 33,868.
- Hagen Graves 31 yard kickoff return was the third longest return since the start of the 2014 season. Daniel McSurdy had a 49 yard return vs. Chadron State and a 37-yard return at Portland State. In the first two games of the season ISU had only return one kick off and that was a 24-yarder vs. Black Hills State. On Friday, Graves returned five kickoffs.
- Madison Mangum had a season-high 98 receiving yards on seven receptions.  
- Josh Cook's seven receptions was a season-high and one off his career high of eight.
- Kamino Ward had a career-high 11 tackles.
- Cody Sorensen had a season-high 15 tackles.
- Freshman Rasheed Williams had a season-best four tackles, two for a loss and one sack.

Bengal Bites
-  Josh Cook has caught a pass in 22 straight games.
- Madison Mangum has caught a pass in 15  straight games. His three receptions vs. Portland State was his fewest since the 2013 season.
- CJ Hatchett has caught 10 passes in his career. Three of the 10 have been for touchdowns.
- Xavier Finney had nine 100-yard plus rushing games in 2014, the most in the Big Sky Conference in 2014
- ISU's five game winning streak in 2014 was the longest since opening the 1995 season 5-0.
- Mario Jenkins and Taison Manu are unavailable for the 2015 season.
- Jakori Ford's 201 rushing yards in a game is the most by a Big Sky Player this season.
- Xavier Finney has 11 100-yard rushing games, tied for the most out of any active Big Sky player.
- Madison Mangum has seven 100-yard receiving games, the second most among active players in the Big Sky.
- Through three games, the Idaho State defense ranks 11th in the nation in pass defense at 147.3 yards a game.
- Terrence Carey, Christian Diehm, Skyler Phillps and Wesley Wingrove have combined for 10 starts in their career at ISU. Wingrove has started 31 games, Carey 26, Phillips 25 and Diehm 25.
