ISU (4-7, 2-2 BSC) dominated in doubles play as freshman
Francis Filipovich and junior
Haseeb Khan bested Joshua Coen and Peyton Garnett of Southern Utah (0-9, 0-4 BSC) 6-3 at the No. 3 doubles position, while juniors
Sebastian Edin and
Bjorn Scheepbouwer defeated Ryan Andrus and Branden Olcott 6-3 at the No. 1 doubles position. Juniors
William Edin and
Josh Goodwin finished doubles play with a 6-2 rout of SUU's Ben Yeacker and Jacob Nelson.
In singles play, ISU finished with two shutouts as Scheepbouwer and Filipovich prevented their opponents from winning a single game in 6-0, 6-0 wins. At the No. 1 singles position,
Sebastian Edin bested Jacob Nelson 6-1, 6-2, while
William Edin finished with an identical 6-1, 6-2 winning score. Goodwin and Khan rounded out singles play with 6-2, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-1 wins respectively.
Idaho State is back in action Saturday, March 19 against visiting Northern Arizona at 10 a.m. at Reed Gym.
