POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State soccer team hosts both Sam Houston State and New Mexico State this upcoming weekend at Davis Field. The Bengals face SHSU on Friday, Sept. 9 at 4 p.m. followed by New Mexico State Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m.
ABOUT SAM HOUSTON STATE
The Bearkats are searching for their first win of the season having dropped six-straight to open the season. SHSU has netted three goals, each by different players, to go along with three assists. SHSU has recorded 38 shots on the season, averages 0.50 goals per game and 6.3 shots per game.
Sam Houston State is led by Head Coach Tom Brown.
ABOUT NEW MEXICO STATE
New Mexico State sits at 1-5 on the season after having defeated Texas State 1-0 in double overtime on Sept. 2. The Aggies have netted three goals on the season, one in each of the last three contests, and average 0.50 goals per game. So far this season, the Aggies have taken 58 shots, 23 of those on goal, for a .397 shot on goal percentage.
New Mexico State is led by Head Coach Freddy Delgado.
