MISSOULA, Mont. – The Idaho State women's tennis team handled Montana 6-1 Friday afternoon at the Peak Racquet Club in Missoula, Mont. The Bengals improve to 4-5 on the season and a perfect 3-0 in conference play.
Idaho State (4-5, 3-0 BSC) battled back from a 1-0 deficit in doubles play, winning the No. 3 and No. 1 doubles to take the doubles point.
Hristina Cvetkovic and
Madison Fenske started things off with the 6-4 win at the No. 3 doubles position, and
Huibre-Mare Botes and
Louise-Mare Botes sealed the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Catherine Orfanos and Hannah Sulz at the No. 1 doubles position.
In singles play, Idaho State claimed five-of-six singles matches with its only loss coming at the No. 4 singles position as
Melissa Coburn fell to UM's Nathalie Joanlanne 6-3, 6-7 (7-1), 6-4.
Louise-Mare Botes extended her unbeaten streak to five with a three-set win over Orfanos, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Huibre-Mare Botes also picked up a three-set victory as she defeated Lidia Dukic 5-7, 6-1, 6-4. Cvetkovic,

Angela Walker also earned wins at the No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 doubles respectively.
Idaho State continues play on the road Sunday, March 12 with a 9 a.m. match at Montana State.
