POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team dropped a double header at Montana on Saturday, losing 1-0 and 6-3.

"We competed," Idaho State coach Candi Letts said. "We left too many people in scoring position on. Another game with a ball not bouncing our way."

In the 1-0 loss, Ashlyn Ames held Montana to one hit through four innings and allowed four for the game. Montana scored its run in the fifth inning. ISU was also held to four hits.

Sarah Hayes, Kacie Burnett, Alex Portesi and Haley Harrison had the hits.

In the game 2 loss, Mariah Mulcahy took the loss in the circle, pitching 2.1 innings, allowing four runs and giving up four hits and three walks.

Harley Wells finished the game, tossing 3.2 innings and allowing two runs on seven hits.

Montana led 1-0 after the first inning. ISU then scored its three runs in the top of the third inning to take a 3-1 lead.
