POCATELLO, Idaho- After three straight road games, the Idaho State football team returns home for Homecoming to host Cal Poly on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in Holt Arena.
Jerry Miller and
Mark Liptak will call the action live on 102.5 KMGI. Live video, stats and audio will be available on isubengals.com. This is the first of two straight home games for the Bengals. Idaho State hosts Montana on Oct. 7.
The Montana game is a Whiteout. The team will wear all white uniforms and all fans are encouraged to wear white. Game Day shirts will be on sale prior to the game. Stay tuned for details.
For tickets for both games fans can call 208-282-FANS. Tickets can be ordered online at isubengals.com. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets prior to game day. Tickets prior to game day are $18 for adults and $10 for kids. On game day prices are $25 for adults and $17 for kids.
About Cal Poly
Cal Poly is 0-4 and 0-1 in Big Sky Conference play. The Mustangs are averaging 18.8 points and netting 222.2 rushing yards a game. The offense averages 127 passing yards a game. The Mustang defense is giving up 31.8 points a game and 404.5 yards of total offense. Jared Mohamed is the top rusher as he averages 89 yards a game. Quarterback Khaleel Jenkins has thrown for 508 yards, six touchdown and two interceptions. Msn Montgomery leads the defense with 46 tackles.
Series vs. Cal Poly
Cal Poly leads the series 13-7. The Mustangs have won six of the last seven meetings. The Bengal win was 30-28 during the 2014 season. The last time the two schools met was Oct. 3, 2015, a game that resulted in a 58-26 loss at Cal Poly.

James Madison had a career-night rushing for 253 yards on 34 carries and two touchdowns. 253 rushing yards ranked fourth in school history for most rushing yards in a game.

Mitch Gueller had 115 receiving yards in the first quarter. He finished with 157 yards on five receptions and three touchdowns. Gueller's 157 receiving yards ranked 32nd all-time for most receiving yard in a game.
- ISU rushed for 355 yards, which is the most in a game since at least 2001. ISU rushed for 348 yards at Northern Colorado in 2014. Prior to Saturday, the last time Idaho State rushed for 200 yards or more in a game was Sept. 5, 2015 vs. Black Hills State. In that game the team had 50 carries for 332 yards. In 2014 ISU rushed for over 200 yards six times.
- Idaho State had 619 total yards, the eighth most in a game since 2004. This was the seventh time in the last 13 years that ISU has had 600 total yards or more in a game.
- The opening drive of the third quarter was the first time the Bengals have scored on their first possession of the second half this season.
