POCATELLO, Idaho –
The Idaho State soccer team returns home after three-straight weeks on the road to host Montana Sept. 29 at 4 p.m. and Portland State Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. at Davis Field.

BENGALS PREVIEW

As a team, Idaho State averages 0.60 goals per game with a .039 shot percentage. Of the 154 shots the Bengals have taken this season, 52 of those have been on goal for a .338 shot on goal percentage. Four Bengals have scored, with Michaela Didericksen and Makena Bambei netting two each while Kathryn Leachman and Meaghan Bare each have one.

Senior goalkeeper Shawna Hennings has tallied 56 saves so far this season with 18 goals against for a .757 save percentage.

Last Time Out: Idaho State snapped its eight-game losing streak in style, defeating Northern Colorado 2-1 in double-overtime in Greeley on Sept. 24. Bambei and Didericksen each recorded a goal, with Didericksen earning the game-winner with the goal in the second overtime. Hennings had 10 saves on the day, including two penalty kick saves.

SCOUTING OPPONENTS

MONTANA:

· The Griz are 6-4-1 overall on the season with a 1-0 mark in conference play. Montana picked up wins against Boise State, Air Force, San Jose State, Georgia Southern, UNI and Southern Utah.
· Montana averages1.09 goals per game with a .415 shot on goal percentage. The Griz have taken 33 corner kicks on the year, and they are 2-for-2 on penalty kicks.

· In 11 games, the Griz have scored 12 goals, led by Alexa Coyle, Raye Burton and Allie Lucas with two each. Coyle leads the Griz in points with five.

· Claire Howard leads UM in goal with 33 saves on the year and eight goals against for a .805 save percentage.

· The Griz are led by Head Coach Mark Plakorus who is in his seventh season.

· Series Review: The Griz lead the series 12-7-3, but Idaho State holds a strong advantage at Davis Field, 9-2-1. In the last meeting, the Bengals fell in Missoula 2-0 on Sept. 25, 2016.

PORTLAND STATE:

· The Vikings are 4-5-0 on the season with a 1-0-0 mark in conference play. PSU has picked up wins against Nevada, George Fox, Chicago State and Southern Utah.

· PSU averages 1.76 goals per game with a .482 shots on goal percentage. The Vikings have taken 25 corner kicks on the year and are 1-for-2 on penalty kicks.

· Katie Forsee leads the offense with six goals on the season and one assist, while Kasey Isobe has four goals and two assists. Goalkeeper Abbie Faingold has 45 saves on the year and 12 goals against for a .789 save percentage.

· The Vikings are led by Head Coach Katie Burton who is in her first season with the Vikings.

· Series Review: The Vikings hold the edge on the Bengals with a 10-9-1 advantage in the overall series, while ISU holds the edge at Davis Field with a 5-4-1 advantage. In the last meeting, Idaho State pulled out a 3-2 double-overtime win at home over Portland State on Oct. 7, 2016.
