Tanner Gueller's record-breaking performance against the University of Idaho has garnered him numerous awards at the conference and national level. Gueller was named the Root Sports Big Sky Conference Player of the Week, the CFPA Performer of the Week and the STATS FCS National Offensive Player of the Week.
Gueller is coming off a career-day where he threw for 492 yards and a school record eight touchdown passes.
Gueller completed 19 passes on 30 attempts. Nine of his 19 completions were for longer than 20 yards.
The eight touchdown passes is the most by any quarterback at the FCS or FBS level.
Gueller also led the team in rushing yards with 81 on 11 carries. Idaho State tallied 754 yards of total offense, 16 off the school record of 770.
Idaho State is 3-0 in the Big Sky Conference and plays at 2-0 No. 14/19 UC Davis on Saturday, Oct. 13. Kickoff is at 5 p.m. mountain time.
