POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State football team takes to the road for a game at Cal of the Pac 12 Conference on Saturday, Sept. 15. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. mountain.

About Cal
Cal is 2-0 and coming off wins over North Carolina and BYU. Cal is averaging 22.5 points a game and giving up only 17.5 points. The offense is averaging 338.5 yards a game and holding opponents to 294. Patrick Laird leads the running attack with 39 carries for 125 yards. Chase Garbers has seen the majority of time at quarterback. He has thrown for 230 yards, completing 25 passes on 41 attempts with three touchdowns and one interception. Kanawai Noa has caught 10 passes for 108 yards and one touchdown. Evan Weaver leads the defense with 26 tackles.

Kennon Smith had their first career interceptions. Brown scored his first career touchdown on a 28-yard interception return.

Demonte Horton caught their first career passes. As a true freshman Horton caught four passes for 47 yards.

Kevin Ryan and
Campbell Sheidow saw their first action as Bengals. Ryan had four punts for an average of 41 yard a kick while Sheidow was perfect on extra points and made a 36-yard field goal.

Tanner Gueller surpassed the 6,000 yard mark for career passing yards. He now has 6,173 yards and trails
Kevin Yost, who is in fourth place in the ISU career record books, with 6,663 yards.

Caleb Brown's interception return for a touchdown was the first since
Nikko Taylor on Sept. 4, 2016. It was a four-yard return vs. Sacramento State.
