Game 9: Idaho State vs. Northern Colorado

POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State football team returns home for its final two home games of the 2019 season. The Bengals host Northern Colorado on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2:30 p.m. in Holt Arena. All fans are encourages to wear white to the game. The Orange and Black Store currently has shirts on the sale and the university book store will have shirts available starting Wednesday.

 Jerry Miller and Mark Liptak will call the action on 102.5 KMGI with the pregame show starting at 1:30 p.m. Fans can watch the game on Pluto TV Channel 543. For more information on how to follow the game online, log into isubengals.com. 

Following Saturday's game, Idaho State hosts Eastern Washington on Nov. 9 at 2:30 p.m. It will be senior day and the senior class will be honored prior to the start of the game.

About Northern Colorado
Northern Colorado is 1-7 overall and 1-3 in Big Sky Conference play. The Bears conference win was 27-24 vs. Idaho. The UNC offense averages 17.75 points a game, 111.6 rushing yards, 230.7 passing yards and 342.4 yards of total offense. Defensively the Bears give up 39.38 points, 204.9 rushing yards, 315.38 passing yards and 520.3 yards of total offense.
Milo Hall leads the rushing attack at 71.50 yards a game. He has carried the ball 180 times for 572 yards and seven touchdowns. Quarterback, Jacob Knipp, has thrown for 1,764 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions. Receiver Chase Lanckriet has 15 receptions for 219 yards and two touchdowns and Willie Fairman has 33 receptions for 304 yards and two touchdowns. Jerone Jackson leads the defense with 69 tackles. 


Bengal Bites vs. Northern Colorado
- This is the first meeting since a 43-42 loss in 2017. In that game Northern Colorado kicked a field goal as time experience to beat the Bengals. 
- Idaho State has won the last two meetings in Pocatello. The Bengals won 40-26 in 2013 and 50-20 in 2011. 

Notes From Game 8 at SUU
- Malakai Rango had a season and career-high afternoon with 20 carries for 105 yards. He had a season-long run of 28 yards.  
- Ty Flanagan's 112 rushing yards is his fourth 100 yard rushing game of the season.
- Ty Flanagan's 54-yard touchdown run was the seventh longest play of the season.
- Ty Flanagan two rushing touchdowns moves him into a tie for fourth place for career rushing touchdowns with 24.
- This was the first time since Sept. 22, 2018 at North Dakota that Idaho State has had two 100 yard rushers in one game. In that game Ty Flanagan rushed for 119 yards and James Madison rushed 106. Against SUU, Flanagan rushed for 112 yards and Rango rushed for 105.
- Kennon Smith career-high 11 tackles.
- Christian McFarland had a career-high 10 tackles. 
- Kainoa Fuiava had a career-high nine tackles.
- Luke Holloway had a career-high 10 tackles and three tackles for loss. His two sacks tied his career-high. He also had one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.
- Kody Graves tied his career-high in tackles with 14.
- Ty Flanagan has 2,352 rushing yards. He is two yards away from passing Nick Whitworth's 2,353 yards and moving into sixth place.
- Ty Flanagan has 438 rushing attempts, moving him into seventh place in the Idaho State career record book.
- Michael Dean is now in 10th place for career receptions with 154.
