POCATELLO, Idaho - Â The Idaho State women's basketball team recorded a 73-48 victory over Seattle U on Nov. 11 in Reed Gym.
The Bengals shot 44.3 percent from the field (27-61) and 46.7 percent from beyond the three point arc. The Bengals made 7-of-15 3-pointers and finished 12-18 from the free-throw line.
The 25 point spread was led by Montana
Oltrogge and
Estefania Ors who each scored in the double digits.
Oltrogge secured 19 points for the Bengals, going 6-10 from the field and 3-5 from the three-point arc.
Ors recorded another double-double game, putting up 13 points and 10 of the team's 50 boards. Ors was 5-11 from the field and 2-4 from the three-point line.
Defensively, the Orange and Black forced 17 turnovers and eight steals, leading to 13 points.
Callie Bourne tallied eight boards for the Bengals followed by
Oltrogge with seven and
Diaba Konate with six.
The game was close early. With the score tied at 12 with 2:22 left in the first quarter, Idaho State went on a 12-0 run over the final two minutes of the first and the first three minutes of the second quarter to take a 24-12 lead after a jumper by
Tomekia Whitman with 7:32 left in the first half.
Seattle U cut the Idaho State lead to 24-18 two minutes later but they would get no closer the rest of the way. Idaho State led 34-25 at halftime.
The Bengals would score the first seven points of the third quarter to lead 41-25 with 7:40 left in the third after a three-point play by Konate. Idaho State led by as many as 28 points in the third at 59-31 following a jumper by Bourne with 1:04 remaining.
Idaho State's biggest lead of the game was 29 at 66-37 two minutes into the fourth quarter.
