POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State women's basketball team begins conference play on Saturday, Dec. 28, against the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho at 3 p.m. (MST).

Scouting Idaho
Idaho finished its 2018-19 season with an 22-12 overall record and a 16-4 record in conference to finish as Big Sky regular season champions. The Vandals would make it to the semifinals of the Big Sky tournament before falling 75-59 to Portland State. The team is led by 11th-year Head Coach Jon Newlee.
Over half of Idaho's team are underclassmen. Beyonce Bea, Gina Marxen, Natalie Klinker, Lizzy Klinker, Hailey Christopher, and Chayse Milne have all seen starts for the Vandals.Â
Bea leads the team with 112 points, shooting 47-101 (.465) from the field and 13-38 (.342) from three. She also leads the team in rebounds with 56. Marxen is 35-101 (.308) from the floor and is the team's leading three-point shooter going 24-78 (.308) from three. The also leads the team in assists with 36. Natalie Klinker is 17-28 (.607) from field-goal range. Lizzy Klinker 43-88 (.489) from the floor while producing a second-best 51 boards.Â
Christopher leads in blocks with nine and steals with nine.Â
Idaho has recorded a 5-4 record so far in the 2019-20 season and will begin conference against Idaho State. Overall, the team is shooting 208-545 (.382) from the field, 68-248 (.274) from three, and 75-116 (.647) from the free-throw line.
The two team's last matched up on March 9, 2019, in Moscow ending in a 73-67 ISU victory. ISU scored 36 points in the paint and out-rebound Idaho, 34-26
ISU leads the all-time series 29-15. The Bengals have won seven of the last 10 and four of the last five meetings. Seton is 6-3 in his career vs. Idaho.
