POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State women's basketball continues conference play against Eastern Washington on Monday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. (MST) in Cheney, Wash.

Scouting Eastern Washington
EWU finished its 2018-19 season with an 13-20 overall record and a 9-11 conference finish. The Eagles would make it to the final round of the Big Sky tournament before falling 61-59 in the final four seconds to Portland State.The team is led by 19th-season Head Coach Wendy Schuller.
The team has one sole senior, Leya Depriest, and five international players from Australia, Canada and England. The projected starters are Jessica McDowell-White, Grace Kirscher, Bella Cravens, Jenna Dick, and Kennedy Dickie.
McDowell-White leads the team with 95 points, shooting 33-107 (.308) from the field and 22-69 (.319) from three. She also leads the team in assists with 44, good for fourth best in the conference and 73rd across the division, and steals with 14. Kirscher is EWU's second leading producer, going 33-100 (.330) from the floor, 12-47 (.255) from three, and 11-15 (.733) from the free-throw line. Cravens ranks second in the Big Sky and 89th nationally with 9.0 rebounds per game and 92nd with 1.7 blocks per game. She also leads the team in field-goals made, 38-84 (.452).
Dick is 24-58 (.414) from the floor and a team-best 17-45 (.378) from three while producing a team second-best 13 steals and second-best 16 assists. Dickie is 23-86 (.267) from field-goal range and 14-46 (.304) from three.
The Eagles have had a different high scorer in six out of nine games this year and Cravens is the only Eagle to have led the team in more than two with three and the only player to lead the team in consecutive games. Kirscher has led the team in two. Dick led the team with a career-high 17 in EWU's one of two wins this season at Northwest Christian, which was also her first start. Dickie (7pts) led the way at Stanford, McDowell-White (16) led at San Jose State and Brittany Klaman had 10 at Utah.
EWU has recorded a 2-8 record so far in the 2019-20 season with a 63-53 conference victory over Weber State. Overall, the team is shooting 203-603 (.337) from the field, 76-256 (.297) from three, and 62-102 (.608) from the free-throw line. Eastern Washington is comfortable with the long ball, making 7.4 three-pointers per game to rank 69th in the nation.
Idaho State defeated the Eagles in both of their regular season meetings last season, 63-48 and 74-45. The two teams last met in the Big Sky Quarterfinals on March 12 where the Eagles eliminated ISU in a 67-65 overtime upset.
Eastern Washington leads the all-time series over the Bengals, 39-36 and have won six out of the last 10 meetings.

ISU leads the Big Sky in field-goal percentage with a .442 percentage and is second in three-point field goal percentage at .355. The Bengals lead the conference in assists with 151 for 16.8 per game.
Recap: Idaho
The Bengals fell in its conference opener, 62-56, to the University of Idaho in Moscow on Saturday afternoon. Idaho State out-shot Idaho 35 percent (22-63) to 32 percent (19-60) from the floor and 33 percent (5-15) to 31 percent (8-26) from beyond the three-point arc. The Vandals scored 16 points from the free-throw line, shooting 73 percent. The Bengals out-rebounded Idaho 47-42 while adding eight steals and seven blocks.
Diaba Konate tied her career-high 16 points going 6-13 from field-goal range, 1-2 from the three-point line, and 3-6 from the free-throw line.
Callie Bourne finished with a career-high 13 boards and tied her career-high in blocks with two.
Montana Oltrogge added nine points for the Bengals followed by
Tomekia Whitman with eight.
