POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team returns home to host Montana State on Thursday, Feb. 14 and Montana on Saturday, Feb. 16. Both games begin at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym. Jerry Miller and Brad Bugger will call the games live on 102.5 KMGI. To follow the games online with live audio, video and stats log onto isubengals.com. Following the two-game home stand, Idaho State plays at Portland State on Feb. 21 and at Northern Colorado on March 2.

Scouting Montana State
Montana State is 11-12 and 8-5 in Big Sky Conference play. Tyler Hall leads the Bobcats in scoring at 19.7 points a game. Harald Frey is scoring 15.5 points a game and Keljin Blevins is scoring 11.2 points. Blevins is averaging 5.8 rebounds.  Montana State averages 77.2 points a game and shoots .452 percent from the field. The Bobcats shoot .357 percent from the three-point line and .719 percent from the free throw line.

In conference play, Hall scores 20.2 points a game and shoots .465 percent from the field. Frey is scoring 17.6 points a game and Blevins is scoring 11.8 and averaging 6.2 rebounds. Montana State is scoring 81.9 points a game in league and giving up 75.6. MSU shoots .472 percent in league and .373 percent from the three-point line.

Recapping the 78-72 Loss to SUU
- The Idaho State men's basketball team lost 78-72 to Southern Utah on Saturday afternoon in Cedar City, Utah.
- Kelvin Jones tied his season-high for field goals made with seven and his 14 field goals attempted was a season-high.
- Jared Stutzman three assists tied his season-high.
- For the the first time this season the game was tied at halftime.
- Idaho State is 1-9 when opponents shoot 50 percent for better.
- Idaho State is 0-6 when only three players score in double figures.
- Both teams shot 50 percent from the field in the first half. In the second half the Bengals shot 34 percent while Southern Utah shot 50 percent once again.
- Idaho State shot 41.9 percent from the field and made nine 3-pointers on 27 attempts. ISU was 11-11 from the free throw line and was out rebounded 38-31.
- Kelvin Jones and Brandon Boyd led Idaho State in scoring with 16 points. Balint Mocsan had 13 points. Alonzo Walker had a team-high seven rebounds.
- Following halftime Idaho State jumped out to a 53-48 lead with 14:19 left in the game after a layup by Jones. Jones had scored six straight points to spark ISU during the spurt.
- Idaho State was then held scoreless for nearly seven minutes, allowing SUU to retake the lead at 59-53 with 7:53 to play.
- The Bengals tied the game at 63 and 66 on 3-pointers by Gary Chivichyan and Jared Stutzman and later took a 70-69 lead with 2:34 to play after Jones made two free throws. The Bengals were then outscored 9-2 the rest of the way.
