Soccer Preview: Saint Mary's and Cal Poly

Game Notes

POCATELLO, Idaho –
Idaho State soccer hosts Saint Mary's on Friday, Sept. 13 at 11:30 a.m. on Davis Field. The Bengals will then travel to Missoula, Mont. to face Cal Poly on Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. (MST).
 
Admission to Friday's match vs. Saint Mary's is $7 for adults, $5 for kids, and free for ISU students. Tickets are available for purchase at the Holt Arena ticket office, over the telephone at (208)-282-FANZ and online. The pass list will be at the gate.
 
Live Stream of the match will be available on Pluto TV channel 543, live stats and audio brought to you by KISU 91.1 will also be available.
 
Saint Mary's
Saint Mary's has compiled a 3-3 record so far in the 2019 season. The team fell to North Dakota State (1-0), North Dakota (2-1), and Oregon State (3-0) while recording victories against Green Bay (1-0), California Baptist (2-1), and Wagner (6-1). The Gaels average 1.67 goals per game with a .402 shot on goal percentage. Friday's match-up will be the first time in program history the two teams have played.
 
Cal Poly
Cal Poly has recorded a 1-4-1 record in the 2019 season. The team fell to Sacramento State (3-1), Utah Valley (2-0), Utah (1-0), and San Diego (1-0), picked up a victory against Pepperdine (2-1), and tied San Jose (0-0) in double overtime. With 46 shot attempts and 7.7 shots per game, the Mustangs average a .500 shot on goal percentage. The Cowgirls are led by 28th-year Head Coach Alex Crozierwho came into the 2019 season ranked No. 32 all-time nationally in career coaching victories at 287-190-58 overall, also has the most career victories in Big West play among the conference's coaches (104 over 23 seasons, part of a .624 winning percentage).
