POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State women's basketball travels to Ogden, Utah to face Weber State on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. (MST) before returning home to host Portland State on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m.

Scouting Weber State
The Wildcats have a young roster that includes one sole senior, two international players from Australia and Spain, and two transfers. Injuries have left the senior and two juniors off the court. Â The projected starters are Liz Graves, Ula Chamberlin, Kayla Watkins, Jadyn Matthews, and Kori Pentzer.Â
Graves, a BYU transfer, leads Weber in scoring, averaging 12.6 points per game while shooting 55-138 (.399) from the floor and 16-40 (.400) from three. She also leads WSU in rebounds with six boards per game, steals with 1.3 per game, and fouls with 3.1 per game.
Chamberlin averages a team second-best 10.2 points per game, shooting 52-136 (.399) from field-goal range and has a team-high three-pointers made, 22-65 (.338). She leads the team in assists with 2.7 per game, turnovers with 5.0 per game, and a team second-best 1.1 steals per game.
Watkins is 32-103 (.311) from field-goal range, averaging 8.7 points per game and a team-best 6.6 rebounding average. Matthews has a team second-best seven blocked shots and averages 5.9 points per game. Â
Pentzer shoots well from a distance going 12-39 (.308) from three while only shooting 24-94 (.255) from the floor.
WSU, who was picked 11th in both the coaches' pre-season poll and by the media, has tallied a 3-11 record so far in the 2019-20 season and is 1-4 in the Big Sky with a 65-60 home victory over Northern Colorado. Overall, the team is shooting 277-751 (.369) from the field, 72-222 (.324) from three, and 169-265 (.638) from the free-throw line to average 56.8 points per game.
Weber is third in the Big Sky in defensive rebounds, averaging 35.9 boards per game.
The Wildcats finished their 2018-19 season with an 6-25 overall record and a 3-17 conference finish. WSU would make it to the first round of the Big Sky Tournament before falling 81-74 to Eastern Washington. The team is led by second-season Head Coach Velaida Harris. Harris is the first African-American woman to ever to be a collegiate head coach of any sport in the state of Utah at the Division I level.
ISU walked away with two victories over WSU in last season's match-ups. The last meeting ended in a 84-57 Bengal victory on Feb. 23, 2019, in Pocatello. The Bengals held Weber to 22 points in the first half to take a 12-point lead at the break. ISU recorded eight steals, forced 17 turnovers and blocked four shots while shooting 55 percent for the game and 50 percent (9-18) from three point range and outscoring the Wildcats 38-16 in the paint and 23-15 off turnovers.
Weber State leads the all-time series, 48-40. ISU has won six of the last 10 and three of the last five meetings. Head Coach
