POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State women's basketball team defeated Northern Colorado, 59-39, in its largest conference win of the season on Thursday night in Reed Gym.

Idaho State shot 41 percent from the floor while holding the Bears to just 28 percent. The Bengals shot a season-high 67 percent (6-9) from beyond the three-point arc against UNC's eight percent (1-13). The Bears were aggressive on the boards, grabbing 41 boards to combat ISU's 35.

Callie Bourne led ISU with 16 points in her eighth consecutive double-digit point game. Bourne and Goles each had six boards while Goles recorded a season-high six assists.
Montana Oltrogge followed with 11 points, eight coming in the fourth quarter.
The Bengals took a 10-8 lead after the first quarter.
ISU held UNC scoreless through the first four minutes of the second quarter while gaining a 22-12 lead with 3:32 minutes left. The Bears went on a 5-1 run to end the half down 23-17. The Bengals shot 60 percent (3-5) from beyond the three-point arc in the half while holding the Bears to 0-5 from three.

The Bears cut the Bengal lead by one in the third quarter at 33-32. Bourne would take matters into her own hands scoring seven points in the last two minutes of the quarter to give ISU a 43-35 advantage heading into the final quarter. UNC grabbed ten boards in the third, five coming from the offensive side against ISU's seven defensive boards.

The Bengals took a game-high 20-point lead at 57-37 with two minutes left in the fourth quarter and again at 59-39 to end the game.
Idaho State hosts the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. (MST) in Reed Gym.
