POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State women's basketball team took down the Utah State Aggies, 85-61, in its 2020-21 home opener on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Bengals took an early first quarter lead and never looked back. Idaho State led 21-12 at the end of the first and the lead was extended to  38-23 at halftme.

The Bengals outscored USU 29-20 in the third and led by as many as 29 points at 75-46 in the fourth quarter. ISU shot 44 percent from the field (30-68) and 33 percent from the three-point line while shooting 17-24 from the free-throw line.
 
The Bengal defense held the Aggies to just 32 percent from the field while outrebounding them, 42-40. The Bengals forced 13 Aggie turnovers that led to 16 points.
 
The victory was a team effort as 11 different Bengals scored with 32 points coming off the bench.

Dora Goles led Idaho State with 24 points, sinking 10-14 from the floor and 3-4 from beyond the three-point arc while tossing three assists. Diaba Konate followed with 17 points and three assists. Goles and Konate each produced four boards. Estefania Ors led in rebounds with nine while Callie Bourne followed with eight.
 
Idaho State hosts the Utah Valley Wolverines on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym.
