POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State women's basketball travels to Sacramento, Calif. to face Sacramento State on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 3 p.m. (MST) after defeating Northern Arizona, 79-76, in Flagstaff, Arizona on Thursday night.

Scouting Sacramento State
Sacramento State has used 13 different starting lineups in 20 games this year with five different players averaging double-digit points for the Hornets, led by a team-high 14.3 points from Kennedy Nicholas. Camariah King (13.6), Gabi Bade (11.2), Summer Menke (10.4), and Tiana Johnson (10.0) round out the team's leading scorers.
The Hornets are attempting just under half of their shots from beyond the three point line. Of Sacramento State's 1,468 total field goal attempts this season, 649 have come from beyond the arc (44.9%).
Nicholas is one of the top players in the Big Sky, ranking first in nearly every rebounding category: total rebounds (184 - 9.7 pg), offensive boards (3.16 pg) and defensive boards (6.53 pg). She also sits second in field-goal percentage (.498) and blocked shots (42 - 2.2 pg) and third in scoring (14.5 ppg). Nicholas put up 13-points earlier this season against the Bengals including a Hornet game-high nine boards.Â
King led SAC with 19-points against the Bengals in January, going 6-14 from the field, 3-8 from three, and 4-4 from the free-throw line. She sits third in the BSC in three-pointers made (43-2.39 pg).
Menke, who didn't see the floor against ISU earlier this season, leads the Hornets in steals (34-1.8 pg). Bade is shooting a team-best .857 from the free-throw line while Johnson is shooting .456 from field-goal range, a Sac State second-best.Â
Milee Enger matched Nicholas' 13-points against the Bengals in January but is only averaging 6.5 points per game on the season.
SAC, who was picked tenth in the coaches' pre-season poll and ninth by the media, has tallied a 7-14 record so far in the 2019-20 season and is 5-7 in the Big Sky. The Hornets currently sit ninth in the Big Sky standings.
Overall, the team is producing 71.9 points per game while shooting 540-1528 (.353) from the field and 183-671 (.273) from three. SAC currently leads the Big Sky in turnover margin (+4.19), offensive rebounds per game (15.71) and three-point field-goals made (183 - 8.71 pg) while ranking second in steals (219-10.43 pg) and third in scoring offense (71.9 ppg) and three-point field-goal defense (.300).
SAC ranks nationally in several categories: No. 4 in three-point attempts (671), No. 42 in turnover margin, No. 18 in three-pointers made, No. 11 in offensive boards per game, and No. 40 in steals. Â
The team is led by seventh-season Head Coach Bunky Harkleroad.
The two teams matched-up earlier this season on Jan. 4 in Pocatello, resulting in a 80-62 ISU victory. Â The Bengals held the Hornets to only 30 percent shooting for the game while shooting 49 percent themselves. Sac State struggled from the free throw line, going 13-24 (52 percent). ISU had three players in double figures led by
Dora Goles with 17.
Ellie Smith led the way rebounding with eight along with four blocks while
Diaba Konate had six assists.Â
ISU leads the all-time series 41-7. They have won six of the last 10 and five in a row. Head Coach

Bourne has recorded double-digit points the last ten games and has reached double-digit points in all but four games this season. The Bengals got off to a slow start trailing 23-8 after the first quarter and 32-8 less than three minutes into the second. The Bengals started chipping away at their deficit by going on a 20-7 run to trail 39-28 at halftime. The second quarter rally was capped by a Goles four-point play with 29 seconds left in the second quarter.
Idaho State stayed within striking distance in the third, cutting the NAU lead to nine at four different times and then eight at 57-49 thanks to a 3-pointer by Bourne with 2:11 left. The Bengals trailed 65-53 at the end of the third. Konate scored 13 of her 25 second half points in the third quarter.Â
The Bengals opened the fourth quarter on a 13-4 run to whittle the NAU lead to 69-66 with 5:50 to play after a 3-pointer by Goles.
Idaho State took its first lead at 72-71 with 2:41 minutes left in the game following two free throws by Smith.Â
The Bengals took the lead for good at 76-73 with 57 seconds left in the game after Konate hit back-to-back jumpers. Idaho State would hit three of four free throws down the stretch to preserve the victory.
