BOISE, Idaho- Thanks to a career-high 24 points from
Montana Oltrogge the Idaho State women's basketball team advanced to the semi-finals of the Big Sky Conference tournament after beating Southern Utah, 70-63, on Tuesday evening at Century Link Arena.
The Bengals play No. 2 seed Idaho at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night. It is the second time three games the two teams have met.
Oltrogge was 8-12 from the field and 6-8 from the three-point line.
Callie Bourne and
Diaba Konate each scored 12 points while
Dora Goles added 10.
Idaho State out rebounded SUU 33-32. Goles and Bourne led the Bengals with seven apiece.

ISU shot 45 percent from the field and held the T-Birds to 37 percent shooting. The Bengals were 9-21 from the three-point line and made 13-16 free throws.
The game was close the entire 40 minutes. While Idaho State led for just over 34 minutes of the game, the Bengals biggest lead was only nine.
Idaho State led 17-15 after the first quarter thanks to seven points from Oltrogge. The Bengals built a 26-20 lead with 6:28 to play in the first half after a 3-pointer by Konate. Idaho State later led 30-24 with 1:09 to play and led 30-28 at halftime.
SUU took brief leads in the early minutes of the third quarter. The T-Birds last lead was 37-35 with 6:34 to play in the quarter. Idaho State then went on a 14-3 run to take a 49-40 lead with 2:34 to play in the quarter after a 3-pointer by Oltrogge. Oltrogge scored 12 points in the quarter to spark the Bengals.
Idaho State led 52-48 after the third and the lead grew to eight at 64-56 with 5:12 remaining. SUU got no closer than five points the rest of the way.
