POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State women's basketball finished the regular season sitting No. 3 in conference, earning them a first round bye in the Big Sky Conference Tournament. They begin the tournament on Tuesday, March 10, at approximately 8 p.m. against the winner of No. 6 Southern Utah and No. 11 Weber State who face off on Monday night in Boise, Idaho.

Scouting SUU
SUU finished the season sitting No. 6 in the Big Sky with a 17-12 record and a 11-9 record in conference.
Overall, the team is producing 71.1 points per game while shooting 734-1813 (.405) from the field, 188-567 (.332) from three and 405-581 (.697) from the free-throw line.
The Thunderbirds are No. 2 in the conference in steals (9.5 pg) and third in scoring offense (71.1 ppg).
Rebecca Cardenas, Harley Hansen, Shalyn Fano, and Jessica Chatman have seen the most starts in conference play for SUU. Ashley Larsen, Madelyn Eaton, and Claudia Armato split starting time.
Cardenas has led the conference in scoring all season, averaging 17.5 points per game. She averaged 15.5 points per game against the Bengals this season including going a combined 17-18 from the free-throw line.
Fano has been ISU's biggest threat, averaging 16 points, a .667 shooting average, and seven boards against the Bengals this season.
ISU split the series with SUU this season with a 72-65 overtime loss in Cedar City on Jan. 9 and a 73-54 victory in Reed Gym on Feb. 1. The Thunderbirds shoot .352 from the field, .387 from three, and .741 from the free-throw line against the Bengals.
Scouting WSU
WSU finished the season sitting No. 11 in the Big Sky with a 4-25 record and a 2-18 record in conference.
Overall, the team is producing 58.2 points per game while shooting 588-1554 (.378) from the field, 128-417 (.307) from three and 383-548 (.699) from the free-throw line.
Kori Pentzer, Jadyn Matthews, Kayla Watkins, Liz Graves, and Ula Chamberlin have seen the most starts in conference play for WSU.
Matthews has been ISU's biggest threat, averaging 17 points and six boards against the Bengals this season.
Graves averages a team second-best 8.5 points per game against the Bengals this season while grabbing an average of seven boards per game. Daryn Hickock averages 8 points.
The Wildcats shoot .364 from the field, .222 from three, and .694 from the free-throw line against the Bengals.
ISU swept the series against WSU this season with a 65-54 victory in Ogden, Utah on Jan. 16 and a 55-41 victory in Reed Gym on Feb. 20.
