Women's Tennis signs Leah Kuruvilla

POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State women's tennis team has signed Leah Kuruvilla to a National Letter of Intent. Kuruvilla is set to join the Bengals for their spring 2022 season.
 
During her junior tennis career, Kuruvilla earned a career high International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior ranking of 436 in the world. She has also won six doubles titles on the junior ITF tour.
 
"We are so excited to have Leah join us," said Head Coach Gretchen Maloney. "Her doubles experience and recent ITF success will have an immediate impact on the team. I am looking forward to having her join us for our spring competition season."
 
Kuruvilla comes to Pocatello from Sugar Land, Texas where she attended Laurel Springs Highschool and boasted a 3.7 GPA.  She is a member of the national honors society and plans to major in Business during her time at ISU.
 
"After visiting the school, I really liked Coach Maloney and how invested she is in her team," remarked Kuruvilla. "The women on the team were also extremely welcoming and I love how hard they work."
