 POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State women's basketball team officially opens its 2021-22 non-conference schedule Tuesday night. The Bengals are in Eugene, Oregon to take on the No. 10 Oregon Ducks, first tip is set for 8:30 p.m. MT.

The game will be broadcast visually with an in-house livestream provided by Oregon athletics.
Mark Liptak will be on the call on KISU 91.1. Pregame will begin at 8:15 p.m. with the game to follow.

Bengals vs Ranked Opponents
Since the 2009-10 Season, the Bengals have faced-off against five ranked opponents in non-conference games.

In the 2017 game against Washington the Bengals shot .604 from the field and .500 from behind the three-point line. The Bengals were led by senior Guard Brooke Blair who had 30 points shooting 12-of-15 from the floor with six threes.
The win was the first time in school history that the Bengals defeated an AP ranked opponent.

Bengal Bites (With Thanks to Mark Liptak)
·        The Bengals had two named to the 2021 preseason all Big-Sky team, Dora Goles and Diaba Konate. Goles finished the 2021 season with a .429 field-goal percentage and finished top-10 in the conference in 3pt FG per game. Konate finished 3rd in the conference in steals with 62 total averaging 2.4/game. Konate led the Bengals in the first-round game against Kentucky with 16 points on seven-of-12 shooting and three steals.
·        The 2020-21, 22-4 final season record was an .846-win percentage. That is the best single season mark in program history breaking the old record of .833 set by the 25-5, 2000-2001 club.
·        It was the fourth NCAA appearance by the ISU woman since the start of the 2000-2001 season. They have also made five WNIT appearances in that time.
·        Since the Big Sky moved the post season tournament to a neutral site starting in the 2015-2016 season, ISU is now 12-5. Overall ISU is now 16-11 in the Big Sky Conference post season tournament under Seton.

·        At 22-4 ISU had themselves another winning season. It was the ninth time in 13 years under Seton they've done this. They've also had a .500 year. So, the totals are: Nine winning seasons…three losing ones and a .500 campaign. AND they also guaranteed themselves a winning season in conference play at 18-2. It was the 10th time in 13 years under Seton this has happened.
·        The 22 wins marked the seventh time in program history they have accomplished this (20+). It has happened under Seton as head coach four times, and three times in the last four years. They finished the season 11-0 at home. It was only the second time in program history a club went undefeated at home for the year. The 2000-2001 team went 15-0 counting the two games in the post season tournament played in Pocatello.
·        In the final 21 games of the year, Delaney Moore and Ellie Smith combined for 361 points and 184 rebounds out of the post. That was an average of 17.1 points and 8.7 rebounds a game. Ellie is now in ninth place all-time in blocked shots with 102. Next up is Grace Kenyon with 105 blocks. She played from 2014-2019 (missed two years with ACL injuries). Ellie needs 13 points for 400 in her career.
·        Estefania Ors has scored 1,356 points, she is now sixth all-time, passing Ash Vella with 1,341 points, Ash played from 2009-2013, and Ashley Toner, who played from 1999-2003 and scored 1,342 points. Next up fifth on the list is Grace Kenyon with 1,471 points. Ors is now in ninth place all-time in made field goals with 466 passing Nancy Imhoff who played from 1985-1989. Next up with 486 field goals is Lindsey Reed who played from 2010-2014. She now has 202 made three-point shots in her career. She needs nine rebounds for 500 in her career which would make her the 15th player in ISU WBB history with at least 1,000 points and at least 500 rebounds.
·        Ors has played in 125 games for ISU. That is the all-time program record.
·        Dora Goles is now in fifth place with 140 made three-point shots passing Chelsea Pickering with 138. She played from 2007-2012. Fourth on the list is Chris Urbanski who made 172 three-pointers in her career which spanned from 1997 through 2001.
·        Diaba Konate is now at 613 points in her career.
·         Seton has now coached 401 games.

Quick Scout and History – Oregon
·       The Ducks are coming off of a 2020-21 season where they finished 15-9 and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA tournament before falling 60-42 to Louisville.
·       The Ducks have four players averaging double-digit scoring led by Nyara Sabally who finished 2021 with a 54.7 FG percentage.
·       Oregon's first exhibition, a 93-26 win over Saint Martin's, Te-Hina Paopao led the team shooting 9-of-12 from the floor and 4-of-5 from the three-point line for 22 points. Two Ducks tied for team lead in rebounds with seven.
·       In their second exhibition, a 95-65 win over Westmont, Sydney Parish led the Ducks with 16 points, seven boards and two steals. Two ducks had 11 boards apiece, Nyara Sabally and Sedona Prince.
The Ducks lead the overall series with the Bengals 6-0. The two teams last meeting was a 20 point victory for Oregon in Pocatello.

Previous Game Recap – College of Idaho
The Idaho State women's basketball team opened the 2021-22 season on Friday evening with a 91-53 exhibition win over College of Idaho.
The Bengals led the entire game and their biggest lead was 38 points.
Montana Oltrogge led the Idaho State attack with 23 points and eight rebounds. Idaho State had 13 different players see time on the court with no player seeing more than 26 minutes. Â
Idaho State shot 52.7 percent from the floor while holding College of Idaho to 28.6 percent.
Idaho State started the game jumping out to a 17-0 lead and led 26-10 at the end of the first quarter.
ISU extended its lead to 52-26 at halftime and 68-41 after three quarters. Eleven different Bengals scored in game.
