POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State Track and Field team returns home after wrapping up the weekend in Provo, Utah at the BYU Robison Invitational. Several Bengals had stand out performances.
Michael Shulikov had another impressive performance in the high jump. The Bengal freshman landed a mark of 2.06m in the high jump placing him at third in the competition, and tying his personal best. Shulikov also jumped a mark of 2.06m last week at the Beach Invitational which placed him at 3rd in the Big Sky Rankings and 9th in the Mountain Region Rankings.
In the men's 110 meter hurdles freshman
Zachary Cox came in at No.3 in the competition with a time of 14.61. Cox also competed in the 400 meter hurdles, placing No.2 with a time of 53.69.
Kodee Vining competed in the 200 meter dash. The Bengal senior ran a time of 21.64 which would place him in the top-10 of the Big Sky Conference this season.
Treyshon Malone picked up another first place win in the long jump. Malone jumped a mark of 7.67m (25-02.00), nearing his personal-best mark of 7.90.
Axel Tirado-Sanchez took another podium in the discus, finishing second. He threw a mark of 54.24m (177.11.50).
Zack Ramos showed up in the Shot Put, Ramos threw a mark of 16.64 (54-07) to finish second. Ramos also threw in the discus competition where he earned third with a mark of 52.36 (171-09.50).
On the women's side
Brianna Hagler placed second in the triple jump. Hagler's leap of 11.67m (38.03.50) was a new season's best for the Bengal senior.
Looking Ahead
Idaho State Track and Field returns home next week to Davis Field April 29 (Fri) - April 30 (Sat) when they host the 2022 Bengal Invitational. The ISU Track and Field team will be celebrating their seniors during that weekend.
