POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State track and field teams wrapped up this weekend's Aggie Invitational on Saturday in Logan, Utah.
The Bengal men had a stellar day in the discus with first and second place going to the Bengals with PR throws.
Axel Tirado-Sanchez won the event with a throw of 52.80m (173' 3") The mark is the third-best throw in ISU history and puts him first in the Big Sky Conference performance list.
Zack Ramos followed just behind throwing the fourth-best throw in Bengal track and field history with a mark of 52.75m (173' 1"). Ramos sits in second-place in the Big Sky after the day.
In the 3000m Steeple
Eric Christen finished second with a time of 9:42.43.
Zachary Cox finished third in the 110M hurdles with a time of 14.48.
In the 100 meter competition,
Kodee Vining placed first and finished with a time of 10.82 seconds. Vining also placed second in the 200 meter with a time of 21.73.
Michael Schulikov finished 2nd in the high jump with a mark of 2.00m (6'6.75").
In the pole vault,
Josh Anderson placed first with a mark of 4.55m (14'11") and Lofton Thomas finished 2nd with a mark of 4.55m (13'11.25").
Treyshon Malone finished 1st for the long jump with a mark of 7.47m. (24'6.25").
In the discus, Sergio Jimenez finished third with a mark of 40.21. (131'11")
Molly Olsen finished third in the 1500 meter with a time of 4:39:52
In the 400 meter,
Elizabeth Butler came in first place with a time of 56.02.
Kyndal Martin took second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1.02.88.
Brianna Hagler finished second in the long jump with a mark of 5.69m (18.8"). That mark was a personal best for the Bengal senior.
The Bengals next travel to Walnut, California, April 15-16, to compete in the MT. Sac Relays.
