Game 4 Preview: Idaho State at Northern Colorado

POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State begins Big Sky Conference play at Saturday at 1 p.m. at Northern Colorado. Jerry Miller and Brad Bugger will call the action live on KISU with the pregame show beginning at 12:30.  The game will be televised on ESPN +.  This is the first meeting between the two schools since 2019. The two teams are 3-3 in the last six meetings.

Scouting Northern Colorado
Northern Colorado is 1-2 with its win being 21-14 at Lamar. Northern Colorado is averaging 258 yards passing and holding opponents 177 passing yards through the air. UNC rushes for 63 yards a game and givies up 195.7 yards. The Bears score 21.7 points a game and gives up 31 points. 

Central Arkansas Review
 - The 85 yard first quarter drive that ended in a Bengal field goal was the longest scoring drive of the season.
- 44 receiving yards tied a career-best for Cyrus Wallace.
- Benji Omayebu's five receptions was a career-high. He also had a career-high 42 rushing yards.
- Raiden Hunter had a career-high 72 yards on a career-best 16 carries.
- Hunter Hays had a career-best 25 completions and a career-best 289 passing yards.
- Ian Hershey made his first career field with his 23-yard field goal in the first quarter.
- Josh Alford had a career-best eight tackles and two tackles for loss.
- Jack Genova tied his career-high in tackles with seven.'

Idaho State is 5-5  in its last 10 Big Sky Conference home openers. Idaho State's last conference opening win was 51-24 vs. Portland State in 2019.  The Bengals also won 25-21 at North Dakota in 2018. The other three conference opening wins was 42-34 vs. Sacramento State in 2016, 44-24 vs. Sacramento State in 2014 and 50-20 vs. Northern Colorado in 2011.
