ISU, INFLCR Launch Bengal Exchange

Pocatello, Idaho — In partnership with INFLCR, Idaho State University Athletics has launched Bengal Exchange to connect student-athletes and businesses for name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities. Presently, NIL opportunities and activities may include autographs, personal appearances, social media product promotions, running camps and clinics, and much more. Accessible to all 340+ Bengal student-athletes as well as local and national businesses, Bengal Exchange provides a customized portal for communication between the two parties for the exploration and fulfillment of NIL transactions.

Director of Athletics Pauline Thiros shared that launching Bengal Exchange is the right way to grow NIL opportunities for Idaho State student-athletes. She continues, "We are committed to providing our students with the tools and knowledge they need to maximize NIL opportunities, as well as helping them develop the tools and relationships that will benefit them in their professional lives."

After registering on Bengal Exchange, a business can access a database of Bengal student-athletes searchable by a number of criteria including sport, social media follower count, and desired engagement opportunities. Businesses can then message a student-athlete directly or request contact information. Once an NIL agreement is reached, a customized reporting form compliant with NCAA and institutional legislation is created and forwarded to Idaho State University Athletics compliance officers.

"Bengal Exchange will help create meaningful relationships for student-athletes while building skills and experience marketing themselves and building business contacts. Bengal Exchange is an efficient, compliant, and effective interface for our students as well as our partners. We are proud to be on the cutting edge in the NIL space," said Thiros.

Bengal Exchange also includes a payment processing tool to securely pay student-athletes and create a 1099 form that lives in the student-athletes INFLCR app for more efficient tax reporting. The platform will continue to provide education on NIL issues, including financial literacy and brand building while providing market research and tracking social media growth and engagement.

"We are excited to partner with Idaho State University Athletics on the launch of Bengal Exchange," said INFLCR General Manager Sean Kelly. "The exchange will aid in facilitating connections between student-athletes and businesses for a wide array of NIL opportunities, empowering student-athletes to enhance their personal brands and foster valuable Relationships."

Per NCAA guidelines, INFLCR and Idaho State University will not be involved in any NIL Negotiations.
