Bengals Go 2-0 Day One of Fresno State Tournament

POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State softball started off the Fresno State Kickoff Classic with a 2-0 doubleheader sweep of UIC Saturday afternoon.

The Bengals took down the Flames 8-0 in five innings in game one, then came back to finish the game two win 10-3.

"We played great in all facets of the game today and that's probably what we are most proud of, just seeing us put together complete games," said Head Coach Andrew Rich postgame. "Pitching staff was fantastic all day. We got contributions throughout the lineup and we played clean defense in both games. When we do that, we'll be a tough team to beat.

Skyler, Alyssa and Gelly at the top of the order were fantastic today and I thought Ava and Paige did a great job finding ways to get on base at the bottom of the lineup to set the table for the top of our order."
