FARMINGTON, Utah - The Big Sky Conference released its 2024 Soccer All-Conference teams and awards Tuesday morning. The Idaho State Bengals received one selection, redshirt-freshman goalkeeper,
Trinity Hale, was selected as an All-Big Sky Honorable Mention for her play this season.
Hale put on a clinic in goal during her 2024 campaign, finishing this season ranked 1
st in the Big Sky Conference in Saves (89), 2
nd in Shots Faced (274), 3
rd in shutouts (6), and 3
rd in Saves Per Game (5.24). Hale would end this season as the only goalie in the entire Big Sky Conference to finish with 80+ Saves, 6+ Shutouts, and average 5 or more Saves Per Game. Hale's big season would lead to her climbing into the Idaho State single-match and single-season record books.
In singe-match statistics, Hale finished T-4
th (13 saves vs. Eastern Washington), T-6
th (12 saves at Idaho), and T-18
th (10 saves at Portland State) in single-match saves as well as T-10
th in shots faced, after going up against 26 shots against Eastern Washington on October 18
th.
For the season Hale would end with 89 saves (8
th All-Time), 6 shutouts (T-3
rd All-Time), 5.24 saves per game (5
th All-Time), and a .774 save percentage (9
th All-Time).
"Trinity had to persevere through a challenging freshman season having to deal with an early season injury that left her unable to play in 2023", says Head Coach,
Dustin Downey. "For her to come work her way back to being healthy, and step right into high-level competition after being a year removed, she performed admirably.
