POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State women's tennis is announcing the addition of Veronika Zarovna for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Zarovna, who will be an incoming freshman, is originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, and will be coming to Idaho State from Mater Dei High School in Orange County, California.
Zarovna won both singles and doubles MVP for her high school tennis team. She also received the "Student Athlete of Character Recognition" and "Monarch of the month" in January 2024 while at Mater Dei HS.
Zarovna's most memorable moment as an athlete thus far has been winning the state championships with her High School team.
Veronika shared the reason she chose ISU was, "I really enjoyed the campus and city. I also really like the tennis and academic program."

Gretchen Maloney shared her thoughts on bringing Veronika Zarovna onboard, "We feel very lucky to have Veronika join us next season. Her enthusiasm and energy will be such a great spark to our team. Her attitude and drive fit perfectly in with her culture. She has experience in both singles and doubles, and should fit nicely in our lineup."
