POCATELLO, Idaho - For the second time this season, the Bengal special teams have been awarded a player of the week honor from the Big Sky Conference. Monday morning,
Ross Bolger was selected as the special teams player of the week for his efforts punting for the Bengals in their 38-28 win over Southern Utah Saturday afternoon.
Ross was given four opportunities to punt the ball Saturday and he made the most of them. The Bengal averaged 51.7 yards per punt with two of them landing inside the 20 yard line. Bolger's longest of the afternoon was a 57 yard bomb that drove the Thunderbirds back and gave the Bengal defense time to wear SUU down.Â
Bolger and the Bengals are back home this Saturday facing off against the #3 Montana State Bobcats in the ICCU Dome, kickoff is set for 4:00 PM MT.Â
