Bengals Hit the Road for Clashes with Montana State and Montana

The Bengals hit the road again this week as they head on north to take on the two Montana schools. The Bengals will first be in Bozeman to take on the No. 1 Big Sky team, the Montana State Bobcats. Tip is set for 7:00 PM in Bozeman.
 
The Bengals are coming off of a hard-fought overtime loss to Weber State in Ogden this past Saturday. The Bengals clawed back from over 10 points down to force overtime, but an 'and-1' by the Wildcats in the final 20 seconds sealed the win for Weber, snapping a 13-game win streak the Bengals had over the rivals from Ogden.
 
Montana State leads the Big Sky Conference with a 14-2 record on the year. The two losses are from BIG12 Utah and and Overtime loss to Oral Rob­erts in the Big Sky / Summit League Challenge. The Bobcats are undefeated in conference play and are coming into the week off of two starkly different wins. The Bobcats took down Northern Colorado 68-57 and then defeated NAU in an offensive high-scoring 87-81 win in Flagstaff.
 
Montana takes on Weber State first on Thursday, then the Bengals on Saturday. The lady Griz are on a current three-game skid having dropped games to Idaho, Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado.
 
Maria Dias continues to lead the team offensively, scoring 10.4 ppg. Sophia Covello leads from behind the arc, hitting 41.8 percent of her three-point attempts, averaging 1.6 per game.
 
 
Kacey Spink still leads the Big Sky in steals grabbing 2.6 per game. 42nd in the nation in the statline.
