TIPPING OFF
Idaho State travels to Tulsa at 5–2, riding momentum from Wednesday's 74–43 home win over Omaha in the Big Sky–Summit League Challenge. The Bengals continue to establish themselves as one of the Big Sky's top defensive teams, holding opponents to 55.1 points per game while leading the conference in field-goal percentage defense (35.2%), rebounding defense (31.0 allowed), and turnover margin (+6.14). ISU also leads the league in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.11) and three-point percentage (34.3%).

Offensively, Idaho State averages 67.7 points per game, shooting 40.3 percent from the field and a Big Sky-best 34.3 percent from three. The Bengals are also winning the boards by +7.6 per game, ranking second in the conference.

Graduate guard Tasia Jordan leads Idaho State with 14.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, while junior forward Piper Carlson adds 12.3 points and a team-high 7.9 rebounds on 54.4 percent shooting. Senior guard Kacey Spink remains one of the most disruptive defenders in the nation, averaging 3.71 steals per game, good for 15th nationally, to go with 7.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists.

Graduate guard Sophia Covello contributes 8.5 points and 2.3 assists per game, while freshman Maeva Gauffrenet adds 7.9 points on 50 percent shooting from three. The Bengals' depth was on full display in the Omaha win, where the bench contributed 29 points, including 12 from senior forward Halle Wright.

Scouting the Golden Eagles
Oral Roberts enters Saturday's matchup at 4–5 after rallying for a dramatic 92–89 win at Idaho on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles erased a 14-point second-half deficit and placed four players in double figures, highlighted by #3 Anna Trusty's 24 points and #11 Jalei Oglesby's 20-point performance. The victory showcased the offensive ceiling of a young ORU team under first-year head coach Cophie ("Sophie") Anderson, who previously spent four seasons on the ORU staff before taking over the program.

ORU is built around pace and tempo, reflecting Anderson's offensive philosophy. The Golden Eagles average 77.7 points per game and connected on 9-of-22 threes (41%) against Idaho. Trusty (15.7 PPG) and Oglesby (16.1 PPG) form one of the most productive scoring duos in the Summit League, while #30 Kayten Donley adds 8.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and leads the team in blocks and steals. #2 Gentry Baldwin runs the offense at 2.7 assists per game, including six against Idaho, and #22 A'Maya Holton added five rebounds in the win.

Defensively, ORU thrives on pressure, forcing 14 Idaho turnovers and converting them into 23 points. The Golden Eagles average 9.7 steals per game and rely on aggressive man-to-man coverage to create transition opportunities. Opponents have shot 46.3 percent from the field against ORU this year, but the Golden Eagles held Idaho to just 15 percent from three (3-for-20). Rebounding continues to be a challenge, as ORU is being out-rebounded by 6.7 per game, though they secured 11 offensive rebounds in the win.

This marks the first-ever meeting between Idaho State and Oral Roberts. It also concludes the current Big Sky–Summit League Challenge agreement, where the Summit League has held the advantage, winning 10–8 in 2023–24, 10–7 in 2024–25, and leading the overall series 20–15.
