Dylan Darling Named Big Sky's Men's Basketball Player of the Week for 3rd Time in Last 4 Weeks

FARMINGTON, Utah – The Big Sky Conference has selected Idaho State Redshirt-Sophomore, Dylan Darling, as their Conference Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 18th – 24th. Darling receives his 3rd Player of the Week nod in the last 4 weeks after leading the Bengals to a 2-0 week of play, defeating the Portland State Vikings and Sacramento State Hornets.

For the week Darling would average 18 points on 46.2% shooting from the floor and 33.3% from three-point range, 9.5 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals in 38.5 minutes per game to go along with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 4.8.

In Idaho State's big 3rd vs. 4th place showdown against PSU, Darling put up his 2nd career double-double with 16 points on 41.7% shooting, 13 assists, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals in 38 minutes of play. Darling's 13 assists would mark the 2nd most in a single game this season by a Big Sky player, T-7th most in a single game in ISU history, & most in a game by an ISU player vs. D1 opponent since 1999.
On Saturday vs. Sac State, Darling would stay hot, totaling 20 points on 50% (7-14) shooting from the field and 50% (4-8) shooting from beyond the arc, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal in 39 minutes of play.

This marks the 4th time a Bengal has earned Big Sky weekly honors this season, all in the last 6 weeks of play. Darling winning the award twice previously, and Connor Hollenbeck winning the award for the week of Jan. 14th - 21st.
