POCATELLO, Idaho - Coming off of a three-game sweep of Northern Colorado and a rout of Utah State, the Idaho State Bengals are set for their next challenge, a three-game rivalry series matchup with the Weber State Wildcats in Ogden, Utah. The two squads play a doubleheader Friday, April 11 and a series finale Saturday, April 12.Â

Weber State
- The Weber State Wildcats are 18-23 on the year and tied with Idaho State at 5-1 in Big Sky Conference play. Weber opened Big Sky Play taking on Portland State and Montana, dropping just one of the six contests to Portland State, 9-6 in Ogden.

Bengal Bites
The Idaho State Bengals wrapped up the 2025 NorCal Kickoff 3-1 with wins over San Jose State and Utah Valley University. The Bengals are now 5-1 in season openers since the 2000 season.Â
Ava Brown had a homerun against the Utah Valley Wolverines in the Bengals season opener. This marks the 2nd year in a row that Brown has gone yard in the Bengals first game of the season. At the end of the tournament, Brown is now 10th all-time in career homeruns for the Bengals with 14.Â
The Bengals had five doubles against San Jose State on 02/07, one shy of the single game record for the Bengal program.Â
The Bengals finished up the UNLV Rebel Classic with a 3-2 record taking three games from Monmouth and dropping two close ones to UNLV. The Bengals run-ruled the Monmouth Hawks two out of the three games and only allowed 6 runs in the three games combined.Â
Idaho State finished the Lyman Classic hosted by Utah Tech 4-0 with two mercy rule wins, an extra inning win over host Utah tech and a five-run comeback victory over Utah State capped by a go ahead grand slam by Kennedy Dudley.Â
The Bengals hit two grand slams on day two of the Lyman Classic, a program best for a single day.Â
Alysaa Yee had four steals against UC San Diego, a new single game program record.
Seven of the Bengals first 14 games have now seen ISU score 10+ Runs. The Bengals are 0-3 when scoring three runs or less.
Idaho State went down to the Lone Star State and cleaned up, going 4-1 at the Texas A&M Invitational. The Bengals picked up wins over George Washington, Princeton, Texas State.Â
The Weekend was highlighted by the Bengals' win over #13 Texas Tech. The win was the first top-25 win in program history. The Bengals were down 2-1 before coming back in the 6th and 7th capped by a walk-off homerun by Jr. Outfielder Gracie Smith.Â
The Bengals earned their first win over Utah since the 2013 season on the final day of the Black and Orange Classic. Down 2-1, Bengal freshman Rebecca Quinn hit a grand slam to give the Bengals the lead and eventual win. The slam was the first homerun of Quinn's careeer.Â
Idaho State swept the Pacific Tigers in a three-game series in Stockton, CA. The wins are the programs' first ever over the Tigers in nine total meetings. In game three of the series, the Bengals battled to an 11 inning win. 11 Innings is the 3rd longest game in program history, and longest game resulting in a win. The Bengals have played two 12 inning games, both losses.
In the Pacific Series, Ava Brown moved to T-7 All-time in single-season homeruns at all. She is one off of 6th place headed into the games with Utah State and Saint Mary's.
Following the series with Sacramento State, Ava Brown holds sole possession of 4th all-time in single-season homeruns with 14 on the 2025 season. She passed Terah Blackwell in 2013 and Heather Dixon in 2007 with 12. Headed into the first week of Big Sky Conference play, the Bengals are #22 in the nation in double plays turned with 13 on the year.Â
The Bengals opened Big Sky Play with a 2-1 series win over the Sacramento State Hornets. The Bengals now lead the all-time series with SAC 31-15.
After the 13-2 Win over Utah State, Ava Brown is now tied for 3rd All-Time in single season home runs for Idaho State with 16.Â
After the Northern Colorado Series and Utah State game, Alyssa Yee is 25th in the nation on in runs scored with 44. Ava Brown ranks 20th in RBIs with 48 and 10th in the nation in Home Runs per game at .42.

The Bengals opened the series against Northern Colorado with a gritty 8–5 win on April 4, led by clutch home runs from Jenna Kearns and Ava Brown. Lizzy Tommasini tossed a complete game, scattering seven hits and allowing just three earned runs.
Idaho State's bats exploded in the nightcap, pounding out 15 hits in a 10–2 victory. Gracie Smith doubled and homered while driving in three, and the Bengals stole a pair of bases to keep the pressure on. Riley Wickum picked up her second win with five solid innings.
The sweep was sealed with an offensive avalanche on April 5, as the Bengals erupted for 16 runs on 15 hits. Belle Navarrete belted two home runs, part of a five-homer barrage that buried the Bears 16–8. Though the bullpen bent, ISU's lead never faltered.
Capping the stretch was a statement road win at Utah State on April 8. Idaho State racked up 18 hits—including six doubles—and cruised to a 13–2 win. Kearns, Brown, and Alyssa Yee each tallied multiple RBIs, and Kasey Aguinaga held the Aggies to two runs over seven innings.
In total, the Bengals slashed a scorching .495 over the four-game span, smacking nine home runs and driving in 46 runs. The pitching staff, led by Wickum, Tommasini, and Aguinaga, posted a 4.08 ERA while keeping opposing hitters to a .255 average.
