POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State Softball (35-16) dropped its first semifinal game to Weber State 5-2 in Greeley, Colo., Thursday evening. The Big Sky Softball tournametn is double-elimination, the Bengals will play in another semifinal Friday at 2:30 PM for another spot in the championship game.
The Wildcats scored early, tacking on three runs in the first inning and holding the lead.
The Bengals only had three hits in the game.
Olivia Robisons two-RBI double in the 3rd inning cut the lead to 3-2, but ISU was unable to overcome the deficit. Despite giving up 13 hits,
Idaho State's defense never stopped fighting only allowing two more runs for the remainder of the game.
Idaho State will face the winner of #2 Sacramento State and #4 Northern Colorado for the final spot in the 2025 Big Sky Championship game.
