The Bengals' Men's Basketball team had a great year on the court and in the classroom in 2024-25, being awarded the NABC's Team Academic Excellence Award for having a team GPA above 3.0. Idaho State also had five players named to the NABC Honors Court for GPA's above 3.2. They were capatains,
AJ Burgin and
Jake O'Neil, as well as
Blake Daberkow,
Connor Hollenbeck, and
Jackson Greene.
These honors are part of an excellent academic year for the Bengals. The team finished this school year with a combined GPA of 3.30, while eight Bengal players earned Big Sky Winter All-Academic team honors this season. Those being
Jaedyn Brown,
AJ Burgin,
Blake Daberkow,
Jackson Greene,
Connor Hollenbeck,
Quentin Meza,
Jake O'Neil, and
Evan Otten.
Over 2,400 players from all levels of competition earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25.
