POCATELLO, Idaho — Idaho State University Athletics is proud to announce the launch of its fifth annual Prepare To Roar fundraising campaign, set to begin Monday, August 11. With momentum building on three consecutive years of record-breaking success, ISU has set ambitious new targets: 650 individual gifts and $800,000 raised by the close of the campaign on August 23.
The effort, which directly supports over 340 Bengal student-athletes, is a vital component of ISU Athletics' ongoing efforts to enhance the student-athlete experience both on and off the field while also putting each team in the best position possible to chase championships. Contributions will support academic resources, nutrition, medical care, financial aid support, and facility enhancements across all programs.
"Prepare To Roar isn't just a fundraiser, it has become a rally cry. Every dollar fuels something extra: important equipment, recovery nutrition, cost of attendance awards, a championship mindset," shared Director of Athletics, Pauline Thiros. "Each year the Bengal family has shown up big in this campaign, and it has made a tremendous impact! Prepare To Roar is about momentum, community, and belief, and I am so grateful for every friend who participates!"
This year's campaign is supported by several key challenge donors, including returning corporate partners Citizens Community Bank, Direct Communications, Lookout Credit Union, and the Football Alumni Team (F.A.T.). Additionally, the largest number of individuals in campaign history to date have committed to serve as challenge donors. These donors have pledged early contributions in an effort to inspire others and raise the bar for this year's initiative.
"Support from our challenge donors plays a crucial role in building early campaign momentum," said Crew Keller, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development and External Relations. "Their generosity sets the tone from the get-go and encourages participation across our community of alumni, fans, and friends of ISU. It sends a clear message of support and we're grateful for the individuals and organizations who are stepping up in this capacity."
During the campaign, donors can direct their contributions to 19 specific designations, including each of ISU's NCAA Division I programs, as well as key areas such as: Bengal Nutrition, Champions Fund, Cost of Attendance Fund, Iron Ambush Club (Sports Performance), and the Women's Sports Excellence Fund. In addition, the opportunity to support the Football Alumni Team (F.A.T.), as well as the Bengal Dancers, and Idaho State University Cheer Squad, will also be available.
The Prepare To Roar campaign remains the most impactful fundraising effort for Idaho State Athletics and not only provides critical resources but also strengthens the connection between the university and its supporters.
