POCATELLO, Idaho – Change defines the offseason for Idaho State Men's Basketball, and Head Coach Ryan Looney continues to lean into that reality with the addition of two more transfers ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Following the 2025-26 campaign, the Bengals find themselves navigating a complete roster reset. With 12 of 15 players departing, Idaho State returns just 1.7 percent of its scoring, 1.6 percent of its rebounding, and 1.3 percent of its assists from a year ago, numbers that underscore the scale of the transition.
In a college basketball landscape increasingly shaped by the transfer portal, Idaho State's staff is actively reshaping the program's foundation. By targeting experienced transfers and versatile pieces from multiple levels of the game, the Bengals are building a new roster identity. The additions of MaCarhy Morris and Ike Palmer represent another step in that process, adding proven production and versatility as the program moves forward.

MaCarhy Morris transfers to Idaho State following a productive junior season in which he started all 30 games and averaged 16.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game while playing 35.6 minutes per contest. Prior to his time at Concordia Irvine, Morris competed at Lewis-Clark State College, where he earned First Team All-Cascade Conference honors during the 2024-25 season. He started all 32 games, averaging 14.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game while leading the team in three-point percentage at 39.8 percent. He recorded seven 20-point games, including a career-high 24-point performance.
