POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State women's soccer returns to the road this week for a two-match trip, beginning Thursday, Sept. 3, against Omaha at 6 p.m. MT before traveling to Dallas to face SMU on Sunday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m. MT.
The Bengals enter the week 1-2-2 through their first five matches of the 2026 season. Idaho State has scored seven goals while continuing to create chances at a high rate, totaling 93 shots compared to 61 by its opponents.
Saydree Cooke leads the Bengal attack with two goals, one assist and five points, while Lacie Poll has also scored twice. Samantha Fenske leads the team with three assists, while Cooke, Gracie East and Stephanie Roper have each added one.
Idaho State opens the trip against an Omaha squad that sits at 1-2-2 before closing the weekend against an SMU team that has opened the year 4-1-1.

Players to Watch – Idaho State Bengals
- #1 Saydree Cooke – Cooke leads Idaho State with five points, totaling two goals and one assist through five matches. She also leads the Bengals with 15 shots and five shots on goal. Cooke enters the week with 10 career assists, tying Shannon Blaker and Jennifer Loo for 11th-most in Idaho State program history. Her 106 career shots have moved her into 12th place in program history, passing Stacey Peterson and Jennifer Loo.
- #16 Lacie Poll – Poll has made the most of her opportunities early in the season, scoring two goals on three shots. Her four points rank second on the team.
- #25 Gracie East – East has started all five matches and has recorded one goal and one assist for three points. Four of her six shots have been on frame, while her 444 minutes lead all Bengal field players.
- #19 Samantha Fenske – Fenske leads Idaho State with three assists through five matches. The midfielder has started every match and has also produced 12 shots, including four on goal.
- #21 Stephanie Roper – Roper enters the week with one goal and one assist while ranking second on the team with 14 shots.
- #22 Parker Sullivan – Sullivan has scored once through five appearances and owns Idaho State's lone game-winning goal of the season. She has totaled 10 shots with four on goal.
Quick Scout – Omaha Mavericks (1-2-2)
Omaha enters Thursday's matchup 1-2-2 after playing a challenging opening stretch that has included matches against Iowa State and Nebraska. The Mavericks fell 1-0 to Iowa State in their opener before earning their lone victory of the season, 1-0, at UNI. Omaha has since played Green Bay and Lindenwood to scoreless draws around a 3-0 loss at Nebraska.
Defense has been Omaha's strength through the opening five matches. The Mavericks have surrendered just four goals and have posted three shutouts, including clean sheets in three of their last four matches.
Offensively, Omaha has scored just one goal on 33 shots. Kendall Dobberstein scored the Mavericks' lone goal in the 1-0 win at UNI, while Payten Ivins leads the team with 11 shots and six shots on goal.
The Mavericks have been held scoreless in four of their first five matches and enter Thursday having gone 270 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal or scoring one, following scoreless draws against Green Bay and Lindenwood around the loss at Nebraska.
Quick Scout – SMU Mustangs (4-1-1)
SMU enters the week at 4-1-1 and has won three straight matches. The Mustangs opened the year with a 4-3 loss at Vanderbilt before defeating North Texas 2-0 and playing Boise State to a scoreless draw. SMU has since defeated UIW 5-1, Southern 4-0 and Houston Christian 2-0.
The Mustangs have been productive on both ends of the field, outscoring opponents 16-5 while holding a 99-56 advantage in shots. SMU is averaging 2.67 goals and 16.5 shots per match while putting 42 attempts on goal.
Brooke Bunton leads SMU with three goals, while Kaylee Noble has two goals and two assists. Noble leads the Mustangs with 20 shots and 11 shots on goal. Londynn Hagan has added two goals and an assist, while Zoe Parkhurst has scored twice.
SMU has received production throughout its lineup, with 10 different players scoring at least once through the opening six matches. The Mustangs have also recorded 15 assists on their 16 goals.
In goal, Aubrey Brown has played all 540 minutes, recording a 0.83 goals-against average, 15 saves and four shutouts. SMU has not allowed a goal in its last two matches and has posted four clean sheets in its last five contests.
