Biography

Saddleback College: (2012) 55 tackles, 17 TFL, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, four pass break ups, two quarterback hurries … fourth on the team in tackles (2011) Led the team in sacks (6) and forced fumbles (3) … posted 41 tackles and one interception in 11 games for the Gauchos in 2011 ... earned second-team all-league and helped his team to the National Division Southern Conference Championship in 2012.

Tesoro High School: Lettered in football before graduating in 2010. While at THS, Nelson was a second-team all-South Coast League selection as a senior. His brother, Nick, played quarterback at Saddleback before transferring to the University of Colorado.

Personal: Parents are Rick and Trisa ... has two brothers, Nick and Vince ... plans to study sociology.
