Marian University (2024-25): Appeared and started in the first six games of the season, as well as the exhibition against Indiana ... Averaged 19.8 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game ... Totaled 17 assists and three blocked shots, grabbing five steals ... Against Indiana scored 19 points ... Dropped a season-best 36 points against Michigan-Dearborn on November 16 ... Marian University (2023-24): In his first season as a Knight, Etchison strung together one of the best offensive seasons in program history ... Scored the third most points in a single season and was named to the Crossroads League First Team ... Set the Marian Arena record for single game scoring and broke the single game record for three-point shots made in a game ... Appeared in 29 of 31 games, starting every game played ... Averaged 22.8 points per game, scoring 662 points on the season ... Shot 44 percent from the field and 36 percent from three ... Led the team in free throw attempts with 147, making 77 percent at the stripe ... Put up double figure scoring in 28 of 29 games ... Had a team-high 3.9 assists per game with 90 total assists ... Western Michigan (2021-23): Appeared in 36 games in two seasons for the Broncos, making 25 appearances as a freshman ... Was limited to 11 games as a sophomore with injuries plaguing his season ... Shot 30 percent from three at Western Michigan in his two seasons, and as a sophomore shot 48 percent from the field in limited action ... Totaled 55 assists in two seasons and averaged 3.7 points per game ... As a freshman averaged 12.8 minutes off the bench in his 25 games, netting double digit scoring twice.

Personal: Gus comes to Idaho State after spending the last two seasons at Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Gus is a Arcadia, IN native, and will be earning his degree in General Studies while at ISU. Prior to Marian University, Gus spent his first two years in college hoops at Western Michigan. Outside of basketball, Gus enjoys golfing and farming. Gus' favorite pro sports team is the Indiana Pacers, his favorite food is steak & eggs, and his favorite movies are the Harry Potter series. Gus' most memorable moment as a player came when he dropped 56 points against his rival high school.
