BENGALS IN ACTION THIS WEEK

Idaho State (15-7, 6-3 BSC) looks for a sweep over Northern Arizona when the Bengals play the 'Jacks at the Rolle Activity Center on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 6:35 p.m. Idaho State is on a four-game win streak and already owns sweeps over Sacramento State and Eastern Washington.

FAST BREAKS ON IDAHO STATE...

• Head Coach Sobolewski became a father on Sunday, February 6 when his first child, daughter, Aubrey Kate Sobolewski was born at the Portneuf Medical Center. She was born on Superbowl Sunday.

• Last February 11th ISU beat Northern Colorado in Greeley 62-51. As of Thursday night 365 days have passed. Using the ISU/UNC game as a starting point the Bengals have gone 21-8 in the ensuing 365 days.

Ashleigh Vella leads the Bengals averaging 53.9 percent in Big Sky contests. In league road games she has averaged 47.9 percent from the field hitting 23-of-48.

• Idaho State's 63-58 victory over Portland State improved the Bengals to a 15-7 record matching the team's win total from last year also marking the most wins since ISU went 20-10 in the 2007-08 season. Both 15 win seasons under Sobolewski ties for the sixth most victories in a single season for a Head Coach at Idaho State.

• Idaho State's win over Portland State handed the Bengals their 13th straight home win. The Bengals are undefeated at 9-0 for the season. The last time a team went undefeated at home in a single season was the 2000-01 season when ISU was 15-0 at Reed Gym. In 2000-01 Idaho State posted a 25-5, 16-0 BSC record.

• Oakes is a clutch free throw shooter leading the Bengals hitting 21-of-11 from the line in the last two minutes. Oakes missed her first shot at the line in a 1-of-2 effort after being accidentally hit in the stomach by EWU's Tatijana Sparavalo that knocked the wind out of her.

• Idaho State leads the Big Sky for all games in field goal percentage at 42.2 percent (70th in the nation), in free throw percentage at 76.1 percent (12th in the nation) and three-point field goal percentage at 35.2 percent (38th in the nation).

• Senior Guard Chelsea Pickering's 16.5 points per game average is 85th best in the nation. She has recorded 18 double-figure scoring games this season, four 20-plus and one 30-plus scoring games. She held a 14-game double-figure scoring streak earlier in the season.

ABOUT NORTHERN ARIZONA
Northern Arizona is seventh in the league with a 3-7 conference record. The Lumberjacks broke its six-game losing streak when they defeated Weber State at home 75-63 on Thursday. NAU's leading scorer and re-bounder is Amy Patton who averages 16.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Idaho State has won eight of the last 11 meetings between the teams.
