BENGALS IN ACTION THIS WEEK
Idaho State (16-8, 7-4 BSC) hosts Montana (13-11, 8-3 BSC) on the tail end of a double-header with the Bengal men on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 7:05 p.m. at the ICCU Court at Reed Gym. Fans that buy a ticket to the men's game can watch the women's game for free. Idaho State is defending its 14-game home win streak and “Think Pink” is the theme as the Bengals encourage fans to wear pink to the women's contest to help support breast cancer awareness.

BENGALS ON 14-GAME HOME WIN STREAK
ISU is the only Big Sky team undefeated at home with an 9-0 record at Reed Gym. Idaho State is on a 14-game home win streak dating back to early February of the 2009-10 season. It is the longest home win streak under Head Coach Sobolewski. Idaho State's longest home win streak was 17 matches from the end of the 1999-00 season to the start of the 2001-02 season. The Bengals were undefeated with a 15-0 home record in 2000-01 and posted a 25-5, 16-0 BSC record.
FOUR BENGALS IN DOUBLE-FIGURE SCORING
Idaho State had four players in double-figuring scoring against Montana State on Feb. 17. The last time ISU had four players in double-figure scoring was exactly one month earlier at Portland State on Jan. 17. The four players to post double figures was
Chelsea Pickering,
Ashleigh Vella,
Kaela Oakes and
Lindsey Reed. In both games Oakes led ISU in scoring with 28 points at Portland State and 22 points against Montana State.
OAKES ON A ROLL...STEPS UP PERFORMANCE
Oakes is on a five-game double-figure scoring streak. The sophomore guard has really blossomed as a main contributor. She led the Bengals in scoring with 22 points against Montana State and has led ISU in scoring seven times. Her freshman season she opened her first game as a Bengal with a game-high 17 points but only posted one other double-figure scoring game with 10 points at Minnesota (12/9/09). Oakes averaged just 3.5 points per game her freshman season and is now averaging 13 points per game.
BENGALS WITH DOUBLE-DOUBLES
Idaho State has only had two players post double-doubles: Vella (31 points, 11 rebounds at Utah and 20 points and 11 rebounds against Sacramento State) and Blodgett (12 points, 10 rebounds against Eastern Washington).
Lindsey Reed is the only other Bengal to record a double-figure in rebounds with 10 at Montana State. The Bengals have come close to double-figures four times with nine rebound efforts.
2010-11 HOME GAME STATS
Idaho State owns a 10-0 home record this season and a 14-game home win streak. This season the Bengals average 72.2 points per game, hits 43.7 percent from the field, 32.3 percent from the arc and 80.5 percent from the line. This season ISU had four players averaging double-figures in scoring.
FAST BREAKS ON IDAHO STATE...
• If Idaho State had defeated Northern Arizona on the road Montana and the Bengals would be playing to break a third place tie in the league as both would have an 8-3 record. Currently, ISU is tied with Portland State for fourth place.
• Idaho State is 22-9 in its last 31 games giving the Bengals a winning percentage at 71 percent. In conference contests of their last 31 games ISU holds a 13-5 record putting ISU at a 72.2 winning percentage.
• Idaho State has had three contests where Bengals have been perfect from the line with a 6-of-6 effort., a season-high. Oakes owns two of those records hitting 100 percent from six attempts against Montana State and against Utah Valley.
Chelsea Pickering notched the same mark at No. 16 Texas.
• Oakes has made her last 11 free throws dating back to ISU's contest against Portland State at home. She missed her first attempt against the Vikings hitting 3-of-4 from the line.
• Oakes' next made free throw marks her eligibility for top-ten career status in free throw percentage. She is currently hitting 79.2 percent from the line with a 99-of-125 effort. Her current free throw percentage would put her in seventh place.
• Pickering holds the ninth best record in school history for made three-point field goals at 87.
• Idaho State has posted hit 40 percent or better from the field 13 times, 40 percent or better from three-point range 13 times and 90 percent or better from the line. Idaho State has had 10 games this season where they have hit 40 percent or better from both the field and from the arc.
• Idaho State leads the Big Sky for all games in field goal percentage at 41.9 percent (75th in the nation), three-point field goal percentage at 35.3 percent (36th in the nation) and in free throw percentage at 77.1 percent (8th in the nation).
ABOUT MONTANA
Montana has been able to prepare all week for the Bengals as ISU is its only game this week. The Griz are on a five-game win streak having overcome Montana State, Sacramento State and Northern Colorado on the road. Montana is led by Katie Baker who averages 13.4 points in league play. The Griz average 64.9 points per game and hold their opponents to 37.3 percent from the field. Montana's Stephanie Stender leads the Griz from the field hitting 41.3 percent and averaging 8.3 points.
SERIES INFO AND LAST MEETING WITH GRIZ
Montana leads the series 6-60 having won the last seven meeting. The last time Idaho State defeated the Griz was at Reed Gym during the 2007-08 season in a 90-77 decision. ISU has posted five victories over the Griz at home. 1980-81 (59-52), 2000-01 (56-53 & 68-59), 2005-06 (71-57), 2007-08 (90-77).
