BENGAL OVERVIEW
Idaho State cross country travels to Orem, Utah to compete at the BYU Autumn Classic on Friday, Sept. 14 at 12 p.m. The Bengals opened their season at home on Aug. 31 against Southern Utah. The women fell 25-30 and the men fell 15-47.
AUDREY URLACHER
Junior
Audrey Urlacher led the Bengal women against Southern Utah with her second-place time of 10:47.50 in the women's 3K. This marks Urlacher's first-career top-three finish. At last year's Big Sky Championships, Urlacher finished 20th with a time of 19:04.95 in the women's 5K.
BENGAL WOMEN RECAP
Returning sophomore
Kylie Hutchison both placed in the top-10 at the Big Sky Championships. and her ninth place time of 18:22.56 ranks 11th on the list of fastest Centennail Course 5K times.. Hutchison ranks ninth for fastest 3K Centennial Course time with her time of 10:37.00 from last year's meet against Southern Utah. This year against Southern Utah, Hutchison finished sixth wit h a time of 11:15.40.
Also returning for the Bengal women is
Chloe Palakovich. She finished 11th at the Big Sky Championships with a time of 18:26.33 which ranks 12th on the Centennial Course fastest 5K times. Her time of 16:07.00 from 2010 ranks 10th on the list of fastest 4K Centennial Course times. Last spring, Palakovich won the Big Sky Championships for the women's 800m with a time of 2:09.63 which ranks second on the Idaho State list of all-time best performances. She finished fourth last week against Southern Utah with a time of 11:07.10.

Callie Kettner and freshman
Sasha Kent also finished in the top-five for Idaho State.
BRYCE JENKINS
Senior
Bryce Jenkins led the Bengal men with his sixth-place time of 20:01.80 in the men's 5K on Aug. 31 against Southern Utah. Jenkins led the Idaho State men at five meets last season including the Big Sky Championships and NCAA Mountain Regionals. Jenkins was named All-Conference for the 3000m steeplechase during the outdoor track and field season with his career best time of 9:12.99. His time earned him a bid to the NCAA West Regionals.
BENGAL MEN RECAP
KC Hunsicker and Nicasio Westlund both scored for the Bengals at the Big Sky Championships with times of 27:12.26 and 27:48.53 in the men's 8K. They will return for their sophomore seasons this year.
Against Southern Utah, Westlund finished second for Idaho State and eighth overall with a time of 20:05.50. Hunsicker came in third for the Bengals and 10th overall with a time of 20:09.80.
Freshmen Dylan Refray and
Jacob Campbell also scored for the Bengals.
