Camille Marchand is named Bengal Athlete of the Week for her performances in the women's 60m dash and 200m dash at the Mountain States Games.
In the 200m dash, Marchand finished first with a time of 24.65, a Big Sky standard. That time ranks third all-time for the Idaho State indoor 200m dash. Marchand has led the conference in the 200m since the Montana State Dual Meet where she had a time of 24.72. Her career best 24.40 from the BYU Robison Invitational ranks second all-time for the Idaho State outdoor 200m dash.
In the 60m dash, Marchand finished first with a time of 7.69, a Big Sky standard. Marchand ranks fourth in the conference in the 55m dash with her 60m time of 7.60 from the Jackson's Invitational on Jan. 25. That time breaks the Idaho State all-time record for the 60m dash. Her 55m time of 7.09 from the Montana State Dual Meet ranks fourth all-time.
She also ranks fourth all-time in the 100m dash with her time of 12.00 from the 2012 Big Sky Outdoor Championships.
Last year, Marchand competed in the 100m dash and 200m dash at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships. Prior to her time at Idaho State, Marchand competed for Montana State University where she all-conference twice in the 60m dash and once in the 200m dash.
Marchand and the Bengals return Friday to host the ISU Open at Holt Arena. Field Events begin at 5 p.m.
